Alabama

Arkansas

  • Order forms
    Arkansas History Commission. The staff does not undertake research requests. Please use forms only to order copies of specific records for which you can provide complete citation.

California

  • Reproduction services and fees
    California State Archives. Fees for photocopies, certification, scans, microfilm duplication, and recordings (audio, video, DVD)

Colorado

  • Fees for information and genealogy search requests and copies
    Fees are for research and copies by State Archives staff whether the information is found or not. All applicable fees must be paid in advance. Fees for general requests are different for in-state and out-of-state residents. Specific requests include corporation searches and radon searches.

Connecticut

  • Copies, copiers, and change
    Connecticut State Library. Types of copies and associated fees. Includes computer printouts, microform reader printer copies, photocopiers, etc.

Florida

Georgia

  • Mail Reference Services
    The Georgia Archives. Staff will conduct limited searches of the records described on the mail reference form and provide limited copies (additional fees may apply at $0.30 per copy). Fees for this service are $15.00 for Georgia residents and $30.00 for out-of-state residents. All fees are non-refundable, regardless of outcome of the search.

    Indiana State Archives. Access is provided to all collections, subject to laws regarding confidentiality and preservation of records. Consequently, certain limits have been imposed on copying. Requests must be approved and the actual copying done by a staff member.

  • Kansas State Archives Permission and use fees
    Kansas State Historical Society. Use fees for photograph and audiovisual materials are divided into two categories: nonprofit and commercial. Nonprofit fees are applicable only to those organizations able to prove legal non-profit status by providing suitable documentation such as tax-exempt certificates or letters of identification.
  • Photocopy fees
    Kansas State Historical Society. All copies from paper materials are made by staff. Please submit orders as early in the day as possible since limited staff are available for copying.
  • Staff research fees
    Kansas State Historical Society. There is no charge for requests to check our card catalogs, indexes and finding aids to determine if we have resources available for your topic, but staff can only do a limited amount of research for these fees.

  • General research requests
    Montana Historical Society. If you are unable to visit our Research Center to conduct your own research, the staff will answer general research questions for a fee.
  • Montana Secretary of State : Records and Information Management
    Records and Information Management. Service fees for state and local agencies utilizing document imaging, microfilming and storage management services, as offered by the MT Secretary of State – Records and Information Management.
  • Reproduction Services and Fees
    Montana Historical Society. Reproductions may be ordered through the Research Center. Price list/order forms and a reproduction fee schedule are available upon request from the staff. PDF copies of these forms are also available online.
  • Research Requests
    Montana Historical Society. If you are unable to visit our Library to conduct your own research, the staff of the Library/Archives will answer genealogical research requests for a fee, which includes research, postage, and copies.

New Mexico

  • Fees
    New Mexico State Records Center and Archives. Fees are established in Title 1, Chapter 13, Part 2 of the New Mexico Administrative Code.

New York

  • Fee Schedule for Copies of Records
    New York State Archives. This general fee schedule applies to copy orders received from State government agencies and offices (including the legislative and judicial branches), local governments, and the general public. A reduced fee is charged to State agencies or offices for photocopies of records they have transferred to the official custody of the State Archives.

The CoSA Resource Center provides state-specific information in support of CoSA's FEMA-funded Intergovernmental Preparedness for Essential Records (IPER) courses - Essential Records and Records Emergency Planning and Response. The Resource Center continues and significantly expands the capabilities of the one initiated by CoSA in response to a call for a web-based information center emanating from the National Forum on Continuing Education (NFACE) in 2000. Development and expansion of the Resource Center has been supported by funds from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (Cooperative Agreement Number 2007-GT-T7-K022) and the National Historial Publications and Records Comission.
