Registering for IPER webinars

To register for a course, you will first need to establish a COURSE PARTICIPANT account on the CoSA Resource Center.

Go to the Directory of IPER Courses to select a course.

The IPER webinars are designed to incorporate  STATE-SPECIFIC guidance and resources. You should select a webinar being offered in your state. If you do not see a course listed for your state, please be patient. Many of the IPER State Instructional Teams are still in training themselves and may not be ready to deliver webinars right away. We expect the IPER webinars to be available nationwide by early 2011, so check back every few weeks.

You can narrow your choices to a specific state by using the drop-down box at the top of the Directory page.

Click on the green "Register Now!" button next to the webinar you would like to take.

Within a few minutes, you should receive an email generated by the iLinc system notifying you that you have successfully registered for the course. If you do not see this email, check your spam filter to make sure it didn't get caught inadvertently. You can also check your Course Participant "dashboard" to see if the webinar is showing in your "My Classes" list.  If you don't see it there, please contact IPER staff at iper@statearchivists.org so we can verify that you are registered.

Be sure to download your Participant Guide, including all handouts, before attending the first session of the webinar.  To access these materials, click on the name of the course. That will bring up a screen for the course where you can click on "Materials/Assignments."

About

The CoSA Resource Center provides state-specific information in support of CoSA's FEMA-funded Intergovernmental Preparedness for Essential Records (IPER) courses - Essential Records and Records Emergency Planning and Response. The Resource Center continues and significantly expands the capabilities of the one initiated by CoSA in response to a call for a web-based information center emanating from the National Forum on Continuing Education (NFACE) in 2000. Development and expansion of the Resource Center has been supported by funds from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (Cooperative Agreement Number 2007-GT-T7-K022) and the National Historial Publications and Records Comission.
